Novell Storage Manager eDirectory platform

symptom

New volumes created in eDirectory are not showing up in NSMAdmin.

cause

NSM caches volumes names create in eDirectory and updates this information one time day. If you need to update the cache you can use the 'Rebuild volume list option in NSMAdmin.

Instructions:
From NSMAdmin main menu choose Admin Dashboard, Utilities, and then Rebuild Volume List.

If the Volume List still will not update the Volume List may have been corrupted.

fix

1. Shutdown FSFEngine
2. delete sys:factory\volcache.dat
3. restart FSFEngine
