Using Filtered Replicas with Novell Storage Manager

Q: Can I use filtered replicas with Novell Storage Manager?
A: Yes. If FSFEVENT.NLM is running on a server using a filtered replica, and it is configured as an Event monitor, the following filter items are a minimal list of what is needed for Novell Storage Manager to function properly:

Please note that filtered replicas are not recommended for the Engine server, but only servers running the FSFEVENT.NLM with the Event monitoring subsystem. Due to the large number of reads and writes the Engine performs, it is recommended that a Read-Write replica of every partition containing managed user accounts, as well as partitions containing the NSMProxy user accounts and the NSM policy objects be placed on the Engine server. Also note that the filter list shown here is only a fraction of the objects and attributes that the Engine needs to manage.
