The event log error can be handled in several ways. The options include clearing the current Application event log, growing the Application event log, or allowing the Application event log to overwrite itself as needed. Here are the steps to access the Windows Event Viewer, and brief description of how to get the options:
- Accessing the Windows Event Viewer:
- Click Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer, or simply
- Click Start -> Run, type 'eventvwr.msc' and click OK.
- Application Event log options:
- Right-click the Application log, select "Clear all Events", and choose whether or not to save the events, or
- Right-click the Application log, select properties, chose the appropriate option for the environment, and select OK.
