Obtaining a DumpConfig

Q:How do I do a dumpconfig?

A:There are two ways to take a dumpconfig on the eDirectory platform, but only one for the Active Directory platform.

Applies to:   eDirectory platform / NSM v2.5

Options:

• Login to NSMAdmin, click the "Reports" tab, and select "Run time Config".
• Remote console to the Engine server and type the following:
  
  nsmengin dumpconfig

Applies to:   eDirectory platform / NSM v2.0

Options:

• Login to NSMAdmin, choose Admin Dashboard, Utilities, and select Dumpconfig.
• Remote console to the Engine server and type the following:
  
  fsfengin dumpconfig

---

Applies to:   Active Directory platform

• Login to NSMAdmin, choose Admin Dashboard, Utilities, and select Dumpconfig.

Either way a dumpconfig.txt file will be generated and placed in the FACTORY directory on the Engine Server.
